Phuc currently works as a Project Manager and Senior Consultant at MBI Innovation.
He earned a Master’s in Public Policy through the Fulbright Program, which was supported by a full scholarship from Harvard Kennedy School and the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City.
Phuc has diverse work experience. Since 2022, he’s been managing projects at MBI Innovation, overseeing operations, and building a comprehensive national database on macroeconomics and businesses. He also coordinated the PFM Activity, supporting the Ministry of Finance in strengthening public financial management, introducing econometric models for policy evaluation, and laying the foundation for a risk-based capital framework in Vietnam’s insurance sector. As a Senior Economic Expert for the IPSC Project, he collaborates with the Agency for Enterprise Development to deliver quarterly macroeconomic reports, conduct business surveys, offer policy insights, and help business associations enhance their ability to assess and advise the government on policy matters.
Before this, Phuc spent over 10 years teaching, researching, and analyzing policy at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the Hue University. His work has appeared in respected journals and at local and global conferences, spanning topics like development economics, regional competitiveness, sustainable tourism, and entrepreneurship. With strong quantitative research skills, he’s proficient in tools like SPSS, STATA, EVIEWS, and large-scale survey platforms. Earlier in his career, he led business teams at major Vietnamese firms such as Mobifone and Bao Viet Insurance.
